About our Earl Grey

Earl Grey tea, traditionally a blend of Chinese and Indian teas scented with bergamot oil, has a storied history. One account claims a British diplomat received the recipe as a gift from a Mandarin in gratitude, presenting it later to Prime Minister Earl Grey (1830–1834), who popularized the tea in Britain. This blend uses only high-grown Ceylon teas from Sri Lanka’s top regions: Nuwara Eliya, Dimbula, and Uva. By using natural flavoring oils instead of crystals, the tea retains its floral, astringent notes and clean, refreshing character without masking the high-quality tea base.
